Herst & Associates, Inc. is preparing a Corrective Measures Plan on behalf of an industrial facility to evaluate potential remedial systems. As part of the project, Herst & Associates, Inc. completed a human health risk characterization. Based on a calculation of risks using historic data in comparison with the most recent information, Herst & Associates, Inc. was able to demonstrate significant reduction in risks through time as a result of previously-implemented operational changes at the facility. The risk characterization resulted in considerable cost savings by reducing the scope of remedial actions. Herst & Associates, Inc. provided technical expert testimony during meetings with regulatory personnel and the general public.
